Old Fashioned Wake-Up Call

Michael is safely in Ethiopia and begins seeing patients tomorrow.  But before he left they boys had one more morning in bed playing.  While he's away he'll have to rely on an digital alarm clock which is a lot less fun morning wake-up.

C is for Caleb

Our sweet Caleb turned one today!
In this busy year he has been to Hawaii and back, Seattle twice and moved with the family west to Pittsburgh.  He has also developed a love affair with binks, sprouted teeth like a little shark, explored every inch of our home with his mouth and grown through clothes at a breakneck pace.  Most importantly Caleb has learned to hold own against an opponent with much more experience and in a different weight class- Jonas.  A little bit silly, easy going except when he's hungry or tired and immensely loved is our Caleb.

And It Was All Yellow

Our friends helped us celebrate Caleb's first birthday.  It's been a long winter so our theme was yellow and the sunshine this weekend helped make everything extra cheerful.  We had cupcakes from Vanilla and breakfast snacks and treats.  Caleb wasn't sure what to make of his mango (yellow) frosting but he loved the cake part.

All of the photos can be found here.

Super Grammie

Jonas had his adenoids out on Tuesday and Grammie came to the rescue.  She took wonderful care of Caleb while we were at the hospital and then spoiled Jonas as he recuperated.  Both boys can't wait for her to come back.
